If You Were To Die Tonight, Would You Be in Heaven Or Hell?

Oh my God, this question is bothering me. One simple but profound question that changed the lives of thousands of people “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Luke 14:23 (KJV)

Meet Frank Jenner, a simple man with a profound question. It was 1941 at the height of WWII when Frank heard God call him to approach 10 people per day on the streets of Sydney Australia and politely ask one simple question: “If you died within 24 hours where would your soul be in eternity, Heaven or Hell?”
One man, standing on George Street in Sydney, Australia, impacted the lives of tens of thousands of people over his 26 years of preaching the gospel on the street. He spent his time handing out tracts and asking people his one, simple question.
This story started many years ago in a Baptist church in Bournemouth, England. One night the pastor, Dr. Francis Dixon asked a man named Peter to share his testimony. Peter got up and said, “This is how I was saved. I was in the Royal Navy. I was walking down George Street in Sydney, Australia and out of nowhere stepped a gentleman and he said to me, ‘excuse me, sir, but could I ask you a question? I hope that it won’t offend you, but if you were to die today, where would you spend eternity? The Bible says that it will either be in heaven or in hell. Would you think about that, please? Thank you. God bless you!” Then the man left. I had never been confronted with that question – I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I got back to England and met someone who took me to a mission and that’s where I became a Christian”.
Some while later they had a youth meeting in the same church in Bournemouth and Noel, one of the visiting team shared his testimony. “This is how I came to know Jesus Christ. I was in the Royal Navy and my ship was stationed in Sydney. One evening I was walking down George Street when out of nowhere stepped a man. He said to me, “Young man, I have a question to ask you. If you should die tonight where would you go? Would it be heaven or hell? Now don’t try to evade the question, it must be one or the other.” What he said bothered me for many months. I sought out a Christian, he helped me, and I gave my life to Christ.”
