The Jindo Moses Miracle is a natural phenomenon of the most remarkable in South Korea called "Moses Miracle".
Occurs twice a year when the water receded, open a plot of land along 2.8 kilometers and 40 meters wide that connects the island of Jindo and Modo for a few hours.
A festival is held to remind the natural events and attended by people from all over the world. These natural events have not so known until 1975, when Mr. Pierre Randi French ambassador to the country visited Korea and published in French newspapers.
Korean legend in the background of this natural phenomenon is this:
Once upon a time, Jindo village was attacked by a tiger and all the villagers fled Modo refuge on the island. Except an old woman who was left powerless, in her despair she prayed to the God of the Sea, beg to be reunited with his family. Gods granted his prayer to open the road surface of the sea and help her escaped from the bloodthirsty predators.
